Orange Glazed Pumpkin Cookies

I do love these pumpkin cookies ~ they are soft and yummy, “plain” but special!

 
Cream:
1/2 cup Butter, softened
1 cup Sugar

Add:
1 cup Pumpkin
1 Tabl. Orange Zest


Sift together and add to above:
2 cups AP Flour
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1  1/2 tsp.Cinnamon
1/4 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Cloves
Stir in: (optional)
1/2 cup Raisins

Scoop into balls and place on parchment lined cookie sheets.  Bake in 350 degree oven for 8 minutes.  Cool completely.  Glaze cool cookies.  Store in airtight container.

 
Glaze:
Whip together:
1/4 cup Butter, soft
2 cups Powdered Sugar
1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
1 tsp. Orange Zest
1 tsp. Orange Extract or 2 Tabl. Orange Juice
2 Tabl. Milk
