Orange-Cream Popsicles

It is H-U-M-I-D here – the kind of day where you sweat while sitting still. Fortunately, my daughter had just gifted me with a “Zoku” Popsicle Maker. It’s a frozen chamber which, once it sets in your freezer for 24 hours, makes popsicles in minutes.  Of course, you don’t have to have the quick Zoku to make popsicles – you can use any type of mold or paper cup with stick/spoon in it.

I decided that this is the perfect week to experiment with flavors, as the heat index climbs even higher.  My first attempt is quite successful, combining the tangy flavors of yogurt and orange.  After tasting the mixture, I decided to add honey to sweeten and minimize the “tang”.  Though not as orange in color as commercial brands, it’s full of tangy orange and cream flavors!

In a bowl whisk together:
1-1/2 cup Vanilla Yogurt 
1/2 cup Milk
1/2 cup Orange Juice Concentrate
3 Tabl. Honey
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

Chill this mixture.  Pour into your popsicle molds/cups and freeze until firm.
